I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the tender age of 20. I would take an occasional yoga class here and there. It felt like what my body needed and a way to move safely. I always felt inadequate until I meant my mentor and teacher of 10+ years Tom Somerville. He used yoga and a yogic lifestyle to recover from a serious injury. I knew the moment we met he had vast knowledge to share and I was willing to absorb every drop of it! Tom has taught me to be patient with my body and encourages me on my Yogic path.
Through my own experience, as a person living with MS and also as a nurse, I am able to share a deep understanding of the body and how it works to provide an accessible class. Students can expect an empowering class filled with joy and encouragement and a bit of humor. I like to bring in pranayama and relaxation so all students can experience the benefits Yoga not just postures.

Stay in your true Self. You are the Knower. You know everything. When you are happy you know you are happy. When you suffer you know you suffer. That knowing is permanent, not the feeling
