With open minds and hearts we provide a space for people to find out new things in a neutral space, connect with holistic wellness, green, organic and cruelty free professionals and products. Most importantly, have a good time doing it. Additionally, we encourage our vendors to speak to each other and trade skills to make new discoveries and connections with their peers in other fields.

By exploration, we discover, and through discovery we grow and learn.

Self Reflection: External Mirrors

Like Attracts Like

The qualities in the people around us are directly related to the traits that exist within ourselves.  Like attracts like.  We attract individuals into our lives that mirror who we are.  When you look at the people in your life, you will likely see what exists within yourself.  Understanding this, it’s not hard to realize why certain types of people continue to come into our lives (good and bad).  As within, so without.  Change in the outside world cannot occur until we change what’s happening within ourselves.

Mirrors of Self Reflection

When we notice positive attributes within another person, we are seeing the same goodness that resides within ourselves.  Likewise, when we observe negative traits within another, we are witnessing those parts of ourselves that we do not like.  Because we are all mirrors for each other, analyzing the people in our lives uncovers a lot about ourselves.  It’s easy to see the traits we don’t like in others.  It’s more difficult to realize that we possess those same qualities.  Remember, the habits, attitudes and behaviors of others are closely linked to our own unconscious and unresolved issues.

Lessons through the Looking Glass

When you come into contact with someone you admire, search yourself for similar traits.  Equally, when you meet someone exhibiting characteristics that you dislike, accept that you are looking at your own reflection.  Looking at yourself through your perception of others can be a humbling and eye opening experience.  Cultivate within yourself the traits and behaviors that are appealing.  Be loving and respectful to all people and you will attract individuals who will love and respect you.  Nurture compassion and empathy.  Let the goodness you see in others be your true manifestation.

The Mirror of Change

The world is constantly exposing you to the true nature of your inner being.  If you are ever unsure of yourself or how people may perceive you, look around.  Recognize the types of individuals you are attracting into your life.  Realize how they make you feel (positive and negative).  Nourish those attributes you find appealing and use the others as contrast for what you wish to see changed within yourself.  By consciously working to harness the light inside yourself, you open the door for continued understanding and growth.  We are all here to evolve through the betterment of ourselves and the world.

What Would I Want a Private Yoga Session For?

Getting the Most out of Your Private Lesson

    1. Most important, be sure they have some therapeutic background or special training one on one.  Spend time to talk to your private instructor about your specific goals.

Private Yoga is not a class of one student….its a specialized session designed for you and your needs

    2. Drink some water an hour before your scheduled private yoga lessons in order to awaken the mind and the body. Our chi moves through the water in our bodies.

    3.  Leave things that may distract you such as cell phones and other devices put away for the duratin of the session.

    4. Set your intention. What is it that you want to get from your private yoga lessons? Focus on what you want to achieve through yoga in all aspects- physical, mental, spiritual.

    5.  Breathe. A lot of people tend to hold their breath when concentrating, straining or stretching. Holding your breath will result to the tightening of your muscles instead of expanding them, which can hamper your flexibility. Speak to your teacher about learning some breathing teqniques that can help this durring you sessions together

    6.  Try a package. It can be much more effective if you work with an instructor at least a few times.  You can do this in combination with attending group classes or exclusively, working only with that  instructor. Both work great!

Private yoga classes are an investment for your personal growth and health. They are a great way to start your yoga practice in a more solid footing before you join group yoga sessions or provide intensive training and exclusive attention for advanced practitioners.
