| Isn't life interesting....I really do not know Jodi, I have never met her. Perhaps only a few brief emails....But this is what I do know about her. She is always helping others, promoting benefits for the less fortunate, offering anything she has...even her husband! When I was in a crunch with my build-out for my new Yoga center, her husband (whom I did not know) offered his services. Lately, Jodi has undergone some unexpected and difficult times and here comes karma......let's open our arms.. **************************************************************************************************************************************************** Meet Greet & Lecture & Q & A and benefit for Jodi Lynn Simons Caruso of Open Arms Yoga The Pursuit of Happiness “Happiness is a Choice” Happiness is one of the most basic and common pursuits all humans have, however with record high anti depressant sales and a fast food, fast-paced life, most Americans find happiness remains just out reach. | Yoga Instructors Series 301:The Art of Instruction “Good to Great!” Yoga instructors are the ambassadors of a practice that has served and assisted humans for hundreds, if not thousands of years. No matter what style, name or lineage, the purpose is the same and we strive to improve the lives of all beings. We share a common challenge as well: How to effectively communicate and safely guide students through a class. Flow, Power Yoga or any breath-based presentation offers even more challenges as a teacher. You must be able to teach, demo and assist a wide variety of abilities and knowledge in each class. In this instructor’s workshop, Kurt Johnsen will share insights and tips he has acquired from almost 10,000 hours of instruction, and give real world, take-away techniques that will improve your very next class. Including but not limited to: - APY Instructor Daily Condition: To lead others, you must first lead yourself. Learn daily preparations to give yourself the strength to assist others. - The Art of Sequencing: The method and ability to teach a thousand classes with no two being alike. - Stacking Instruction: Speak to the body from the ground up, avoid injury and create the best foundation for each student. - Go beyond guiding a flow: Add modifications, intensifications and even messaging to every class. - The Art of Working the Room: Instructors have to adapt to different rooms, mirrors, no mirror, beginners, advanced or both. Learn how to work different surroundings to best serve your students. - The Art of Nothing: Master the ability to share meditations and visualizations making the final pose the most important! Every group class is unique, as are workshops. The diversity of the group may or may not allow for more techniques and tools to be offered during the workshop. |
